I grew up in rural Nevada, then attended Evans Hairstyling College in Utah, where I studied cosmetology, barbering and more. While I was in school, I married my high school sweetheart who had joined the navy a few years prior... and that's how I ended up here in CT.
My passion for hair came from my burning desire to create art. Being from such a rural area, going to hair school is rather frowned upon because most people who choose that path don't do much with their education. I knew that college wasn't for me, so I decided to go the cosmetology route anyway, and I'm happy to say that I'm now creating a beautiful career because of that decision. Some people are content with their 9-5, but I love that I get to create art every day!
My favorite thing about this industry is that it's always changing, which gives stylists the opportunity to constantly keep learning. It's really important to me that you leave loving your hair, so I'm always looking to educate myself on the newest trends.
It's also important to me to build real relationships with my clients. Whether you're in my chair for 10 minutes or 10 hours, I want to be able to listen to and learn from your life's journeys; to me, that's so much more fun than small talk!
If you don't know me yet, I'm very self-motivated, I see failures as opportunities for growth, and I genuinely care about others. When you sit in my chair, you'll learn that I'm fairly goofy, so you're guaranteed to have at least one good laugh with me. You'll also see that I'm easy to talk to.
As a professional stylist, I hope to meet all of your hair goals, and also to create a friendship. When you look good, you feel good, so let's get you scheduled for your next appointment! I look forward to making your hair dreams come true!
